Pastor Don wrote this after he visited us in Allentown and asked the church to pray for us. Thanks for taking time to be with us Pastor Don!
“Project Serve is going wonderfully well. Westover has a great group of staff and a great group of kids. They are doing phenomenal work in several different places…and people at the sites are commenting on our hardworking kids. In the evening, the kids and staff do an outreach in the Allentown area, through City Limits, a local church. Project Serve participants will enjoy a much deserved fun day on Saturday and will return on Sunday.”

Sorry for lack of update, we don’t have lots of time or internet. We all are doing well even today with our hottest day yet. We will be in the local paper tommorow. Check out the “morning call” newspaper website. We are off to hit the streets. Thank you for the prayers. Update when we can!

Happy Tuesday!

Photo team here. We are in NJ currently visiting one our teams who is restoring a house from the 1700s. It is really cool. We stopped at Dunkin’ Donuts (they are EVERYWHERE up here) for a quick snack as we head to Easton, PA to visit three more teams. The AST. to the Major of Allentown came and visited us last night at our camp at LU. He and the major are also Christians so they were super encouraging. It is a very pretty sunny day here yet again! Not too hot ether with very low humidity. Keep up the prayers of no rain.

We hit the streets of downtown Allentown with City Limits Church last night – which was our first night and apparently the slowest night. They say that the first night is always slow but now that the word is out we will be around each night, there will be more people to talk to on their porches. Exciting times! Things we have never experience before. Update again when we can!

Good Morning

We are up packing our lunches for our first day of work! Lots of excitiment in the air even though is early in the morning. We had a little bit of a downpour last night durning our evening gathering. Please pray that we get sunny days since a lot of our work is outside or painting. Thank you for all your support back home!

We are here

Just wanted to let everyone know that we made it! It was rainning (of course) pretty hard when we got here. Today is a perfectly lovely sunny day today. We spent the morning at City Limits Church with Pastor Jimmy and friends. They have already been so kind and helpful to us. Currently we are all meeting in our work groups and getting ready for the week. Keep praying for no rain!

Project Serve Eve

Hello Everyone!

We will be meeting at the church at 8am SHARP for check-in then start our van rides up to Allentown, PA. I know it will be very hard to, but get some sleep. Dont worry about breakfast in the AM, Jim Brown is bringing us Chick-fil-a! Because Jim Brown is awesome like that! Be sure and thank him.

Project Serve Money Info

Students: Did you mail your support letters out this weekend?! Be sure to turn in a copy of your support letter to Amy D! Also a reminder (since all this handy dandy info is in your Project Serve packet that you signed!) that your money is due to Amy D by May 31st! Be sure to write your name and total amount your turning in on the front of the envelope – questions? Talk to Amy D (adowdle@westoverchurch.com)
